DSC SCW9045: How to Program User Codes?

Learn how to program user codes into the DSC SCW 9045 wireless security system.

To Program User Codes: Press * 5 followed by your master code by default is "1234", the armed (padlock) indicator will turn on. Enter the 2-digit number to be programmed (i.e. 06 for user access code 06 "40 for the Master code) or use the keys < > to find the specific code than press * to select. "If you notice there is a P next to that number that means that this user code has been programmed already". Now, enter the new desired 4 digit user code. Once programming is complete, enter another 2-digit code to program another user code or press # to exit.

The DSC SCW 9045 is and all-in-on wireless security system that allows you to add up to 32 433mhz wireless security sensors. The 9045 can hold up to 16 user codes and an additional code for designated towards the master code again which by default is "1234".

The SCW 9045 is a bit of an older security system that is no longer manufactured and as far as communicating alarm signals back to the central alarm monitoring station it is limited to two options. The first option would be if you have a compatible phone/VOIP line wired directly into the 9045 panel. The second option would be a universal cellular communicator such as, the Telular Tg-1 Express cellular alarm communicator. The Telular TG-1 express is a great way to salvage this outdated alarm panel because it allows for more modern modes of alarm monitoring services with its new 3G/4G options through both AT&T and Verizon.
