Here you will learn how to Link Alarm.com with an existing Nest account (Must have your Alarm.com DIY or PRO monitoring activated)
The primary Nest login credentials must be used to integrate a Nest account with Alarm.com.
TO ADD THE NEST THERMOSTAT USING THE CUSTOMER WEBSITE:
Log into the Customer Website.
Click Settings.
Click Devices.
Click Automation Devices.
Click Nest Thermostat Installation. This navigates to the Nest login page.
Enter the primary Nest account login information.
Note: Nest accounts allow multiple user logins, like Alarm.com. If the primary Nest login is not used, the message You can only connect with Nest to homes owned by you appears.
Allow one minute for initialization to complete before use.
Use the Nest Thermostat
After authorization is complete, allow a couple of minutes for initialization before use.
Thermostat features available through Alarm.com
The customer can now control the Nest Thermostat via the Alarm.com app for an integrated connected home experience. The Nest app still functions as before. However, Nest does not support many of the advanced energy features offered by the Alarm.com Smart Thermostat, such as remote temperature sensing. If the customer is interested in these features, an Alarm.com Smart Thermostat would be a better option.

Current target temperature control
Current mode control (Heat, Cool)
Scene thermostat control including:
Temperature control
Mode control
Fan control
Nest Eco Mode display on Alarm.com:
Locally, the Nest thermostat automatically switches to Eco mode after it senses that nobody is home. This feature is not supported on Alarm.com. When a Nest thermostat is in Eco mode, it is shown as Off on the Alarm.com Customer Website and app.
To exit Eco mode, change the thermostat’s mode to Heat, Cool, or Auto. Eco mode cannot be selected from the Alarm.com Customer Website or app.

Integrated remote temperature sensing
Thermostat and fan schedules
Fan mode control
Rule-based automation including:
Smart away setback (i.e. Geo-fencing and panel arm away status)
Sensor left open setback
Extreme temperature setback
Fire safety shut-off
Currently, Alarm.com does not place a limit on the number of Nest Thermostats that can be enrolled to an account. However, Nest currently has a limit of 20 thermostats per Nest account.
Important: All thermostat schedules must be configured using the Nest platform. It is a basic integration that only allows control of the target temperature, thermostat mode, and fan mode. It does not support any Alarm.com rule-based automation, Customer Website-programmed thermostat or fan schedules, battery level reporting, or advanced configuration setting.
