[Lyric LCP500](https://support.geoarm.com/honeywell?hsLang=en#lyric-lcp500) # Why Does the Lyric Controller have a Message Button The Honeywell Lyric Controller has a message button located once you select the security button, because it contains a message center for the user to record and play messages. The Message Icon on the Home Screen will have a 'STAR' on it if there is a Message Recorded. The maximum message length is 184 seconds, or the balance of 184 seconds if multiple messages are recorded. Each message will show a message number, and the time and date the message was recorded. If the message center is full, the "Add New" button will be grayed out. In this case, you must delete some or all previous messages before a new message can be added.
