# What are the Power Requirements for the SiXCT
The Honeywell SiXCT requires one 3 Volt CR123 battery. If you need to replace the SiXCT battery you may also use one Honeywell 466 or a Duracell DL123A. You can expect about 5 years of battery life from the Honeywell SiXCT battery. The duration of the battery will be based on how often the sensor is used.
You can check to see how much battery life is left in your SiXCT by using the Lyric Controller system health check feature. From the system health check feature, you will be able to also see if your sensor is still in range.
