Yes, the Honeywell SiXCT encrypted door/window sensor can sense temperature. The reason why the SiXCT can sense temperature is because it contains a temperature sensor. The Honeywell SiXCT temperature sensor sample's the air temperature every 20 minutes and updates are provided to the Lyric Controller when there is a change from the previous reading.
