Yes, the Honeywell SiXSMOKE encrypted wireless smoke/heat sensor can detect heat. The way the SiXSMOKE detects heat is anytime there is a 15 degree increase in temperature within one minute or if their is a fixed temperature of 135 degrees it will send an alarm signal to the Lyric controller.
