Does Alarm.com work with Amazon Alexa & Google Home

Voice Control
Alarm.com's Amazon Alexa Skill and Google Assistant Action both provide your customers with a hands-free, digital assistant for the home. Integrated with the Alarm.com platform, devices like the Amazon Echo and Google Home give your customers voice-activated home automation. Your customers can ask their Alarm.com powered system to perform a number of automation commands or check the status of smart home devices.

Tell Alexa or Google Assistant to perform any of the following:

Turn on the living room lights
Lock the front door
Turn down the thermostat
Close the garage door
Arm Stay the security system

You can also ask Alexa or Google Assistant any of the following:

Are all the doors locked?
What’s the temperature in here?
Is my security system armed or disarmed?
Is my garage door open?

With all of these apps, there is no need for you to invest in additional hardware — if your new or existing customers have these devices, they can easily integrate them with their Alarm.com platform for an even richer Smart Home experience.

In order for Alarm.com to work with Alexa voice controller it is necessary to first activate Alarm.com interactive monitoring services. Once this has been completed end-users will log into their Alexa application > go to add skill > search alarm.com > enable skill > enter your Alarm.com user
