To configure the Honeywell Lyric thermostat heating and cooling settings you will first use the Lyric app which will ask you a series of questions to determine your equipment configuration, be sure to confirm or correct selections as you go. Select the temperatures you prefer to have your Lyric thermostat set at while you are home.
Next, select what mode you prefer while you are away if automatic than the Lyric thermostat will change your settings based on outside conditions and maximize your savings. If you select manual you will set you away settings for your Honeywell Lyric thermostat.
Lastly, you will be prompted through the Honeywell Lyric app to review the settings you inputted. Review the selections and once you feel comfortable select next to complete the configuration of the Lyric thermostat.
The Honeywell Lyric thermostat is part of a bigger spectrum with a wireless connected platform that includes integrations with the Honeywell Lyric security system and controller.
The Honeywell Lyric security system uses the Lyric controller as its main hub for security and home automation functions. This means that the Honeywell Lyric thermostat can be controlled from either the Lyric controller, smart phone using Honeywell Total connect 2.0 application or Apple Homekit. The Honeywell Lyric security system also has added its on line of encrypted wireless security sensors called SiX Series Sensors.
The Lyric thermostat is the first of its kind where a whole platform of security and home automation sensors has been built around a thermostat. The Lyric thermostat also has the ability for Geofencing and is able to be used with the Apple Home kit app.
