Does the Honeywell SiXSMOKE Require Maintenance

Yes, the Honeywell SiXSMOKE wireless smoke/heat detector has a feature called smart check. The SiXSMOKE built-in drift compensation algorithm automatically maintains the sensitivity of the detector. Once the detector reaches its limit of compensation, it transmits a High Sensitivity signal to the supported panel. If the SiXSMOKE detector is in need of maintenance because its sensitivity has shifted outside the listed limits, the red LED blinks once every 5 seconds.
