What Is a House ID - System Arming When Neighbor Arms System

The house ID is a unique code attached to your wireless keypads used to identify what communication path the wireless keypads are on. If you have been arming your system or your neighbor has been arming their own system and noticed that both systems are arming at the same time than it is time for you to change your House ID on your security panel.

The reason this is happening is because both panels have either been set to the same House ID or are both on the default House ID. Meaning that both your wireless keypads and your neighbors keypads are all sending an arming action to House ID X and both houses are picking up that arm signal.
