How to Test Lyric Controller Zone Programming

To test the Honeywell Lyric controller zone programming you will be using a mode called RF Sniffer Test. To perform the Lyric controller RF sniffer test from the home screen select Security > Tools > enter you installer code "default is 4112" > Test > RF Sniffer Test. 

This Lyric Controller mode is used after all 5800 and SiX transmitters have been entered to check that they have been properly programmed.The Lyric keypad will display all zone numbers which have a non-zero zone type (even zones where the Serial Number has not been programmed yet). Fault each transmitter in turn, causing each one to send a signal. As the system receives a signal from each of the transmitters, all zones associated with that transmitter will disappear from the display.

The transmitters may be checked upon installation, or in an installed system. The panel will not exit Sniffer mode automatically, you must enter the Installer Code to exit this mode. The Lyric controller default installer code is 4112.
