How Long Does the Honeywell Lyric Controller Backup Battery Last
The Honeywell Lyric Controller from the factory does contain an alarm backup battery part number LCP500-4B. The Honeywell LCP500-4B is rated at 7.2Vdc and 6X1100mAH and will supply you with 4 hours of backup battery time in the event the 9VDC is no longer working.
There is also a second option in the event that 4 Hours is not enough backup time for you. The Lyric controller has an optional 24-hour backup battery which is part number Honeywell LCP500-24B and is rated at 7.2V and 3700mAH. The Honeywell Lyric controller does not come with the LCP500-24B battery it must be purchased separately and used in place of the original backup battery.
AlarmClub recommends that you replace these backup batteries every 4 years to ensure that you receive maximum backup time in the event the 9VDC power is shut off to the system.
